About Voces Verbi
"We are dying of ordinariness." Fast forward 80+ years and we can say, the diagnosis Archbishop Sheen gave back in 1932 remains the same. "The world's greatest need," he prescribed, "is great men and women...in a word, what we need are saints."
It is this generation more than any other that is faced with challenge of the "decisive battle". A Christian culture, a culture of family and a culture of life rises up or continues to fall with them. As members of the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word we feel that it is our responsibility and task before God to "sink our teeth" into this reality and spend ourselves in the formation of the future generations of Catholic faithful. Thus, Voces Verbi. |

It is a lay organization wherein Catholic young adults:
- learn how to become the "apologists" of their day, - can be formed in an authentically Catholic spirituality, - and where they will find a community that will challenge them and support them on the path to holiness. Our group takes its name "Voces Verbi" (Voices of the Word) from the words of St. Augustine who writes, "Everyone who announces the Gospel is a voice of the Word." It is Christ that we must preach with our lives. It is Christ who is our hope. It is Christ who shows us the way to everlasting life. |

Restoring All Things In Christ.
It is our conviction as a Religious Family that the sanctification of the laity is of immense value to the Church's life. Among the lay faithful the most pressing need today is the formation of Catholic young adults--that generation whom we can look to now to help restore all things to Christ and whom we can hope in for the building of a true Christian society.
